Preserve Credit Union Tax Exemption

Recent developments indicate evidence that credit unions throughout the country are being attacked by the bankers. Now, the House Ways & Means Committee has scheduled an oversight hearing on our tax status for November 3, 2005.

Credit Unions are all about their members. Today's credit unions serve 87 million members with affordable financial services. The credit union movement is also known for its grassroots strength, and we need to demonstrate that now, more than ever.

We'll keep you posted on what credit unions are doing to preserve our tax exempt status, which allows us to continue to serve our members with low cost, quality financial products and services.
