Merrimack Valley FCU Participates in Day of Caring

On Wednesday, September 15th, for the 4th consecutive year a crew of 16 employees lead by CEO/President Peter J. Matthews, Jr. joined hundreds of volunteers coordinated by the United Way for the annual day of caring.

"Merrimack Valley FCU is committed to making a difference in the lives of our members and our surrounding community. It's the credit union way" states Peter J. Matthews, Jr. CEO/President.

Teams of credit union employees split up throughout the Merrimack Valley and assisted elders in need of yard clean up and home repairs. Credit Union staff could be spotted pulling weeds, trimming hedges, cleaning gutters and repairing steps. Bags of brush and clippings were hauled away, lawn mowers were repaired and flowers were planted leading to the appreciative smiles of homeowners and employees alike.

The Day of Caring is an annual event organized by the united Way of Merrimack Valley and seeks individuals and organized teams annually.
