Legislative Day

On May 12th Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union hosted a free Small Business workshop to learn about SBA programs and resources available to business owners who need assistance in starting or expanding their business.

General information was offered to those attending by speakers that included Lisa Gonzalez-Welch, SBA Business Development Specialist, Matt Collins, V.P of Granite State Development (504 program), speakers Peter Morbeck and Jack Clauson from the local chapter of SCORE, Awilda Irizarry from the Small Business Development Enterprise Center, Charlie Warner from the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network’s PTAC, Gladymar Priziale from the Affirmative Market Program, and our own Dalia Diaz to discuss Financial Literacy.

The seminar was attended by 23 small business owners, all of who had a real good time and commented on all of the beneficial information that was available to them.  Hosting seminars like this offers programs and ideas for creative real estate and business financing solutions to help our small business members achieve and maintain their goals. We provide them with the building tools and resource partners they need to help them save time and money, while receiving value-added personal service.

Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union serves anyone who lives, works or worships throughout the Merrimack Valley region. Branch locations are available in Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover, and Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Plaistow, New Hampshire.
